Recap after the jump....
Today PNC partied like it was 1993-2010.
The pitching which we worried about entering the season made its first appearance of the season. Maholm couldn't close the door in the 6th, then Resop couldn't it keep it respectable in the 7th as the Bucs fell today 7-1.
On the other side of the plate the Buccos offense was pretty lackluster only registering four hits. The lone run came in the 1st as McCutchen drove in Tabata on a fielder's choice.
The offense and pitching will have put up much better numbers if they want to sustain long term success this season.
The highlight of the game was the unveiling of the Tanner #7 jersey which will reside on the centerfield wall this season.
RIP Chuck
The best thing about baseball is that you can go out the next day and play after a performance like that.
Tomorrows matchup.....
COL - J. De La Rosa (1-0 0.00)
PIT - Ohlendorf (0-0 6.00)
LETS GO BUCS
